Bon Secours inMotion Physical Therapy and Sports Performance has moved its office and tripled its space to better serve patients.
“Our patients were not fitting in there anymore,” Julie Kosiorek, a physical therapist and administrative director who oversees 11 Bon Secours inMotion facilities, said of the old facility on Meade Parkway.
The new facility is located at 1417 N. Main St., in the same shopping center as Belk and Farm Fresh.
The facility serves patients with a variety of different needs, from sports rehabilitation and concussion rehabilitation to post-surgery rehabilitation and manual therapy. It has services for those with TMJ disorders, fibromyalgia, imbalance issues and more.
“I feel that the community really needs this service,” Kosiorek said.
Two physical therapists and two physical therapy assistants will work at the location, along with support staff.
Any doctor can refer patients to the facility, and most insurance is accepted, Kosiorek said. Bon Secours does not turn away patients for inability to pay.
The new office has dozens of pieces of equipment on which hundreds of different exercises can be performed.
Alex Garvey, vice president of mission and ethics for Bon Secours, blessed the new facility with water and used oil to bless the hands of employees.
