Mr. and Mrs. Cary Phillip Mansfield of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Casey Bland, to Robert Thomas Hedrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Terrell Hedrick of Suffolk.

Mansfield is a 2008 graduate of Isle of Wight Academy and earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from James Madison University in 2012 and a master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014. She is employed by ForKids Inc. in Norfolk.

Hedrick is a 2004 graduate of Lakeland High School and earned a degree in sports management from California University of Pennsylvania in 2009. He is employed by Quality Custom Distribution in Suffolk and is the head baseball coach at King’s Fork High School.

A Sept. 19 wedding is planned.
