One man was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries after a Saturday afternoon crash on Holland Road.

The single-vehicle accident happened at 2:15 p.m. in the 4100 block near Pioneer Road. The 80-year-old male driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.

The roadway was closed for more than two hours. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
