Five arrested in heroin probe

Five people were arrested in connection with a federal heroin trafficking investigation on Tuesday.
More than 250 law enforcement agents participated in the simultaneous execution of 14 search warrants in Suffolk, Portsmouth and Chesapeake, according to U.S. Department of Justice.
Arrested in the early-morning searches were Alonzo Outten, 35, Jerald Outten, 26, Jermaine Jones, 38, and Deyonta Hinton, 31, all from Portsmouth; and Garnett Brown, 34, of Chesapeake.
All are charged on federal conspiracy charges of manufacturing, distributing, and possession with intent to distribute heroin, according to the press release.
The organization was indicted on July 8.
