A father and son have been arrested on charges of breaking and entering into a storage shed at a city park.
Jerry Michael Jenkins Sr., 46, and Jerry Michael Jenkins Jr., 25, both of Suffolk, were arrested Friday, according to a city press release.
The burglary of the storage shed at Sleepy Hole Park, in the 4600 block of Sleepy Hole Road, was discovered on June 6, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink. Lawn equipment and other tools were missing, she said.
Both men are charged with burglary with the intent to commit a felony, grand larceny, possession of stolen property with intent to sell, and two counts of obtaining money by false pretenses, according to Klink. Both were released on bond from Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are pending, she said.
