Anna Leigh White Buck

Anna Leigh White Buck, 89, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2015. She was the widow of the late Elmer “Glenn” Buck. She was a native of Windsor and a 1943 graduate of Windsor High School. Anna was the daughter of the late W.C. “Woody” White and Myrtie Roberts White and was also predeceased by two brothers, McCoy and Selbon White; and two sisters, Patricia W. Baker and Martha W. Olson.

Anna retired from Planters Peanuts as an office clerk. She was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist. She was an active member of the Ruth Sunday School Class, the Winnie Rountree Circle of WMU, and the HAC Senior Group, for which she participated in the Meals on Wheels program. She was also a member of the TAG Senior group.

Anna is survived by her sons, retired Col. David Glenn Buck and wife, Patricia, Dennis Ray Buck and wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Sarah (Russell), Christopher, Rebecca (Michele) and Jason; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Leo and Faith; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim George officiating. Burial will be private at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family Wednesday night for a visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.
