Police are investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles in the South Links Circle neighborhood in Harbour View, as well as other areas of the city.

City spokeswoman Diana Klink said most vehicles had been left unlocked, but nothing had been stolen from the majority of the vehicles.

A number of catalytic converters also have been stolen recently, she said.

Police encourage residents to lock their car doors and not to leave valuables in plain sight.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
