Bon Secours Hampton Roads Heath System has announced a new team member at Cardiology Associates, part of its Bon Secours Heart & Vascular Institute.

Jayaraman Venkatesan is board-certified in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology, according to a news release.

After receiving his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in India, he completed his internship, residency and fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn.

Venkatesan, a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, performs noninvasive and minimally invasive interventional cardiology procedures, including radial artery catheterization.

“He is passionate about preventing tissue loss and amputation of patients who suffer from peripheral arterial disease through the use of specialized endovascular treatments,” according to the news release.
