King’s Kids of America will hold its annual spring banquet on May 2 at the Faith Temple Christian Center, 623 Brook Ave., at 5 p.m.
This year’s speaker is Maj. E.C. Harris of the Suffolk Sheriff’s Office.
“Mr. Harris is a longtime faithful supporter and an honorary board member of this outreach organization,” Pastor Betty Milteer Knight stated in a press release.
The banquet is the organization’s major fundraiser of the year. It pays for ongoing expenses like supplies, trips, equipment and training.
Donations are being accepted for banquet sponsors and are due April 27 to receive an award at the banquet. Tickets to the banquet are $20.
The organization was founded by the late Bishop Dr. Obadiah Colander in 1989 to help local children reach their full potential.
