The Nansemond River High School girls’ soccer team raced out to a 2-0 lead at halftime on Tuesday against visiting Oscar Smith High School and ended up with 4-1 victory.
Providing goals for the Lady Warriors were sophomores Daijah Norris, Kamarie Jewette and Kylie Stout and freshman Indiah Hunter.
Nansemond River faces host King’s Fork High School this evening in what should be a momentous showdown after the epic games the cross-city rivals produced last season.
