CHESAPEAKE — Lenora Chapman Stokes, 93, passed Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Sentara Portsmouth Nursing Center.

She is daughter of the late Lonnie and Eudora J. Chapman. She was the widow of William V. Stokes Sr. She leaves to mourn, daughters Brenda S. Cuffee, of High Point, N.C., and Joyce S. Clark, of Appomattox; three sons, William V. Stokes Jr. (Esther), of North Plainfield, N.J., Sherman W. Stokes (Carmen), of Camden, N.J., Jose’ O Stokes (Della), of Chesapeake; one sister, Hazel C. Wilson, of Ivor; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Morning Star Baptist Church, Windsor. Viewing will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the chapel from 4 to 7 p.m., with a wake service from 7 to 8 p.m. For more information please visit www.shiversfuneralchapel.com.
