Three sent to hospital after crash

Three people were sent to the hospital after a Monday afternoon crash on Boundary Drive.
The two-vehicle accident happened at 3:29 p.m., in the 1000 block of Boundary Drive, and involved a Saturn and a Toyota Scion, according to a city press release.
One of the drivers, an 18-year-old woman, had to be removed from her vehicle by Suffolk Fire and Rescue personnel because she was trapped, the press release said. She was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital by ground ambulance.
The driver and passenger in the other vehicle were taken to Sentara Obici Hospital.
None of the injuries was considered life-threatening, according to the release.
The at-fault driver was issued a summons for failure to obey highway markings.
The roadway was closed as crews worked the crash.
