Suffolk police on Saturday arrested a man wanted in Norfolk on a charge of second-degree murder.
Arthur Lee Smith Jr., 25, was wanted in connection with an incident that occurred on Dec. 23, Norfolk Police Officer Sam Shenouda said.
On that date, police and medics responded to an address in the 6200 block of Sewells Point Road shortly after 11:30 a.m. for an unresponsive infant. The child was transported to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, where he was later pronounced dead.
Shenouda was unable to say on Monday whether Smith is related to the child or what the child’s cause of death was.
