Two die in head-on collision

Two Suffolk men died early Friday morning after their pickup truck collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.
The accident happened around 12:49 a.m. on U.S. Route 58 near the Godwin Boulevard interchange.
The city identified the victims as Jason Wade Baker, 35, and Rakan Ali Mansour, 26.
The pickup truck, a Toyota Tundra, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when it collided with the tractor-trailer, according to a city press release.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to Sentara Obici Hospital for treatment.
The roadway was closed for several hours while police investigated. All lanes and ramps re-opened about 9:30 a.m.
