Firefighters battle duplex fire

One adult and three children were displaced in a duplex fire on Saturday afternoon.
It happened in the 6000 block of Camellia Drive in the Wynnwood neighborhood, according to a city news release. the fire was reported at 12:43 p.m., and the first units were on scene six minutes later.
The fire originated in unit A of the single-story brick duplex, and unit B suffered smoke damage, the release stated. The occupants evacuated prior to the arrival of firefighters, and no injuries were reported. The fire was declared under control at 1:13 p.m.
The displaced family is being assisted by the American Red Cross, according to the release. The fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
