Lady Saints dominate Bishop Sullivan

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ volleyball team handed visiting Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School a straight sets loss on Thursday evening, 25-6, 25-17, 25-12.
The Lady Saints got impressive offensive production from senior middle blocker Lizzy Fowler, who led the team with 13 kills, and sophomore Livi Bono, who added 11. Both players continue to step up since star senior middle blocker Caylin Harris went out due to illness.
NSA senior libero Bridget Murphy contributed 20 digs, and senior setter Brooks Gillerlain recorded 36 assists and three aces.
Nansemond-Suffolk improved to 11-7 overall and 3-0 in the Tidewater Conference Independent Schools. The Lady Saints visit Peninsula Catholic High School on Tuesday.
