Jonathan David Derrick, 36, of Chesapeake, died peacefully in his home on Sept. 20, 2014, surrounded by people he loved. Visitation will take place Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home in Suffolk, and the celebration of Jonathan’s life will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at Pinecrest Baptist Church, 209 Felton Road, Portsmouth, VA 23701. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
