Suffolk police have arrested a man and are seeking another in connection with two vehicle burglaries in the North Suffolk area, and they’re searching for the rightful owners of items — including military medals and pendants — found in the men’s possession.
Arthur Demerill Santiful, of Suffolk, and Tyrell Jevon Bondhill, of Norfolk, both 24 years old, are charged with possession of burglary tools, destruction of property, petit larceny and entering or setting in motion a vehicle related to two vehicle burglaries in the North Suffolk area, according to a city news release.
Bondhill is incarcerated at Western Tidewater Regional Jail, while Santiful still is wanted on the warrants, according to the release.
Items found in the men’s possession that are not connected to the two burglaries in North Suffolk include paintball accessories, military or paramilitary tactical duty gear and military pendants. One of the pendants has a U.S. Navy submariner warrant officer insignia, according to the release.
If someone recognizes the recovered property, he should contact the Suffolk Police Department at 923-2350, option 0.
Anyone who has information on Santiful’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
