The Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office says it believes a Saturday morning fire to be suspicious and is asking for information from the public.
The fire damaged a new mobile home and destroyed a vehicle in the 3800 block of Pughsville Road at Bullock’s Mobile Home Park, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said. The fire was reported at 5:38 a.m. When firefighters arrived eight minutes later, the car was fully engulfed in flames, and the blaze had spread to the mobile home.
The fire was extinguished within 12 minutes, but the car was a total loss. The mobile home was not yet occupied.
Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
