Job Corps info session planned

The Suffolk Workforce Development Center will host a Job Corps Information Session at 9 a.m. July 31.
Suffolk and Franklin residents, ages 16 to 24, are welcome to attend the free session, which will cover a variety of professions, including automotive technology, culinary arts, electrician, health careers, landscaping, office administration, painting, plumbing, welding, security and more.
Men are asked to wear button-up or polo shirts, along with slacks, belts and shoes. Women are asked to wear dresses, skirts or slacks, along with blouses and shoes. Attendees should not wear jeans, sneakers or shorts.
Job Corps is the nation’s largest career technical training and education program for students ages 16 to 24. It is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor.
