Nansemond River High School’s baseball team used all-around team play to top visiting Phoebus High School 12-2 in five innings on Tuesday.

The Warriors scored seven runs on six hits in the first inning, including a three-run home run from senior Shane McCaw.

Junior Ethan Woodruff improved to 3-0 on the mound.

Nansemond River (12-2, 4-0) visits Denbigh High School today and Lakeland High School (3-10, 1-3) on Friday.
