Clutch play late seals NSA win

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy baseball team took the lead in the top of the seventh and held on for a 4-3 win over host Norfolk Christian High School.
Saints senior No. 1 pitcher Greg Beale moved to 8-2 on the year, pitching a complete game. He threw 10 strikeouts and most notably struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh.
It was senior Jake Grady who hit a solo homer in the top of the final inning to produce the go-ahead run. Junior Toby Buchanan and sophomore Sam Neal each hit doubles in the game.
Nansemond-Suffolk (11-5, 6-2) hosted Hampton Roads Academy on Saturday afternoon, which was Senior Day. The Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools tournament is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
