The Isle of Wight Academy softball team was held scoreless in a 1-0 loss to host Warwick High School on Monday after an offensive explosion on Thursday against visiting Atlantic Shores Christian School.

However, a constant in both games was sophomore pitcher Trish Webb of Suffolk. On Monday, she allowed only one hit and threw 10 strikeouts. The Lady Raiders scored off an unearned run in the first inning.

The Lady Chargers won 21-0 on Thursday, and Webb threw a perfect four-inning game, striking out all 12 batters. She also hit a two-run home run.

Isle of Wight (4-2, 2-0) is scheduled to host Menchville High School today.
