Sunrise Home Care Agency is now providing companion care services in the Suffolk area.
The company hosted a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony March 17 at its 157 N. Main St. office.
Sunrise offers non-medical support services to senior citizens or handicapped individuals. Personal care attendants assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, laundry, transportation, medication reminders and companionship. Personal care services are available 24 hours a day.
Owners Daniel and Leslie Moore, husband and wife, have backgrounds in psychology, geriatrics and social work.
“Our company motto is ‘bringing rays of sunshine to your home,’ and we spend a lot of time screening, insuring and bonding our caregivers to serve that purpose,” Leslie Moore said in a press release announcing the business’s opening. “We look forward to taking the best care of our clients and their families.”
“We are so pleased Sunrise Home Care Agency has decided to open and provide their much-needed resources in our historic downtown district and beyond,” Mayor Linda T. Johnson said.
