The Suffolk Humane Society is seeking more volunteers — particularly those over 18 who can valet park — to help with its Paws for the Arts Gala on Feb. 1.

Set for the Hilton Garden Inn, 100 E. Constance Road, from 7:30 to 10 p.m., the party will include both live and silent auctions, heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine and cash bars and musical entertainment by local artists.

“The event is fast coming together and we are all very excited,” said Kaye Makarski, volunteer coordinator. “But we do still need a few volunteers. If you’d like to help, please call the office or email us. It is much appreciated and we will certainly find a place for you.”
