The Suffolk Christian Academy girls’ basketball team visited Great Bridge Christian Academy on Monday night and found itself in a 16-4 hole at halftime. The Lady Knights came storming back in the second half, but the rally could not close the gap, resulting in a difficult 35-29 loss.
SCA head coach Tom Powell noted his team came within four points, and stated the “girls played their hearts out.”
Senior center Caitlin Hankins produced an impressive performance for the Lady Knights with 15 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots.
Suffolk Christian hits the road on Friday to face conference foe Summit Christian Academy.
