Hogwarts Express loading in Suffolk

The Hogwarts Express is steaming full-speed ahead from the Suffolk Visitor Center Pavilion at 6 p.m. Saturday, as the Suffolk Division of Tourism offers a free screening of “Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone.”
The 2001 blockbuster film features Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Alan Rickman and Richard Harris, and earned more than $974 million in worldwide box office receipts.
The festivities kick off at the pavilion, located at 524 N. Main St. in downtown Suffolk, with an expected show time of 6:30 p.m. Children will be given a free Hogwarts Express ticket to “board,” and magical snacks and drinks will be available for purchase in the Leaky Cauldron, in support of The United Way.
Crafts will be spilling out of Diagon Alley, giving your little one a chance to make some magic. Seating is also available, but chairs, blankets and jackets are encouraged as to make it an even more comfortable evening under the stars. Costumes are not required but are encouraged!
Based on the worldwide bestseller by J.K. Rowling, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” is filled with fantastic adventure. This PG-rated film’s running time is 152 minutes.
Additional movies are planned for Oct. 26 and Nov. 2.
