Police have arrested two teens in the Sunday night burglary of a gun shop in downtown Suffolk.
A 14-year-old and 15-year-old have each been charged with breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a minor, larceny with intent to sell and conspiracy to commit a felony.
All 11 firearms stolen from Southern Gun Works, located in the 100 block of South Main Street, have been recovered, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said in a press release.
A citizen told officers on Sunday he had seen two juvenile males walking in the area of Jackson Street with rifles. Police initially found only nine of the weapons. The business had been forced open.
Both teens are being held at the Tidewater Detention Home in Chesapeake.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
