Keith and Cathy Foster of Suffolk announce the engagement and upcoming nuptials of their daughter, Quaneshia Foster, to Robert Cofield of Chicago.

Cofield is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice and Doris Brooks Sr. of Dundalk, Md., and the adopted son of the late Bishop A.M. Cofield and Evangelist Shirley Cofield of Chicago.

Foster is the maternal granddaughter of the late Clarence Gilliam and Evelyn Gilliam of Washington, N.C., and the paternal granddaughter of the late George Foster Jr. and Dorothy Foster of Suffolk.

Cofield is the paternal grandson of the late Lee Bertis Cofield and Lucille Cofield of Chicago.

The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Lakeland High School. She attended Virginia State University Petersburg and received an associate degree as a medical assistant from Medical Careers Institute, Newport News. She is employed as a sales associate at Ross’s Department Store, Chesapeake.

The groom-elect is a 2005 graduate of Harlan Community Academy in Chicago.

He is the organist at Berean Community Church in Norfolk, and he is a petty officer 3rd class stationed at the Naval Station Norfolk.

The wedding is set for Aug. 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the St. Paul R.Z.U.A. Church, 619 Spruce St., Suffolk. A reception will follow at the Open Door Church Fellowship Hall, 816 Kings Fork Road, Suffolk.
