Charlotte Brown O’Brien, 36, of 1003 Cogic Square, Suffolk, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Manning, S.C. and the daughter of Joseph Brown and Charlene Evans. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Wilbert Wynn.

She attended Nansemond River High School. She attended Paul D. Camp Community College and the University of West Virginia. She was employed as a property manager for S.L. Nusbaum. She was a member of God’s House of Refuge Ministry of Deliverance. She was faithful at her church and a member of the praise team, transportation aide, Sunday school team and pastor’s adjutant. She was a licensed ordained minister.

Besides her parents, she leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Frank Cordell O’Brien III, of Suffolk; sisters and brothers, Josephine Brown, Travis Evans, Angela Evans, Wanda Wynn-Harry (Jermaine), Grady Wynn, Maggie Wynn, Robert Wilson, Melvina Towns, Melvin Towns; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Greater First Baptist Church of Orlando officiated by Pastor Stanley Reed. A wake will be held Friday, July 26, 2013, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
