The deadline to apply for the Drs. L.T. and Margaret W. Reid Scholarship has been extended to May 10.

Students in all Suffolk Public Schools are encouraged to apply for the scholarship, which honors prominent physicians who served the community for more than 40 years. Upon their retirement in 1980, this scholarship fund was set up to honor their efforts to better the city.

Three scholarships in the amount of $1,000 will be given to a deserving student at each of the high schools. Applications may be obtained from the guidance department.
