The son of Suffolk’s sheriff is in trouble with the law again after his roommate took out a warrant against him.

Raleigh Isaacs Jr., 52, received a summons last week to report to General District Court on April 29. His roommate took out a warrant with the magistrate on April 17 after an alleged incident April 15 at their residence in the 2400 block of Pruden Boulevard.

“Raleigh Isaacs Jr. physically assaulted me using a metal walking cane at least four times,” reads a statement by the roommate, David Burford, included in the warrant. “Once across my forehead, then on the back of my neck, again on the right side of my head and ear, then on the back of my left forearm as I was trying to block any further attacks.”

Burford wrote that he feared for his life, fled the house and called a friend to come and get him.

Isaacs’ history with Suffolk law enforcement includes four charges of driving under the influence of alcohol since March 2006, all of which have been reduced, dismissed or not prosecuted.

He has served jail time for some of the reduced charges, including 10 days in jail after a June 2008 accident, and he had his license suspended for a year after the most recent incident in August 2011, for which he was found guilty of refusing to take a blood or breath test.
