David Outlaw

David Outlaw, a native of Edenton, N.C., departed this life, Friday, April 19, 2013. He was the son of the late Sherman and Maggianna Outlaw.
He was a resident of Suffolk and also a World War II veteran. David was a kind man with a good heart, always willing to give a helping hand.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory, a devoted wife of 50 years, Sylvia Outlaw, eight children: Linda Lassiter (Mack), David Outlaw (Renee’), Valerie Roberts (Ronzell), Tyrone Hunter, Sharon Baker (Kenneth), Derek Outlaw (Kenya), Eric Outlaw (Georgette), Juan Outlaw (La’Rhonda), 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Outlaw’s visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from noon to 7 p.m., and the family will greet guests from 6 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, and he will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
