Police seek suspect in Sunday homicide

Police have a suspect in a Sunday morning homicide and are seeking the public’s assistance in locating him.
Warrants are on file for Monte Robinson, 20, for charges of first-degree murder, shooting in the commission of a felony, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and reckless handling of a firearm, according to a news release from the city.
Robinson’s last known address is the 900 block of Davis Boulevard, according to the release. He is described as a black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds.
Robinson is accused of the murder of Angelo Fleming Beale, 24. Police were called to an apartment complex on Stacey Drive just before 3 a.m. Sunday for a complaint of shots fired. They found Beale suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Sentara Obici Hospital.
