Bradshaw graduates basic training

Air Force Airman 1st Class Douglas Quinn Bradshaw graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 10-11, 2013.
The airman completed an intensive, eight and one half week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airman Bradshaw graduated with honors among more than 600 graduates, placing him in the top 10th percentile of his class. He was also named Most Improved in his Flight, 323/081.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He will continue a 13-week Tech-School training at Lackland in Security Forces, which will also be applied toward his associate degree.
Airman Bradshaw is the son of Robert and Hope Bradshaw, Suffolk, the brother of Robbie (Christina) Bradshaw, active U.S. Coast Guard, and the nephew of William O. “Bobby” (Jonette) Rountree, both of Suffolk. He is a 2011 honor graduate of Lakeland High School.
