A man charged in August with molesting a teenage female acquaintance was among 75 defendants indicted on 186 charges by the grand jury Monday.

Christopher J. Vaughan, 49, was indicted on two counts of indecent liberties and one count of aggravated sexual battery in connection with the alleged incidents, which reportedly took place between 2009 and August 2012, according to a city spokeswoman.

The victim was 15 years old in August when Vaughan was arrested.

In addition, a woman who police say left her 7-month-old son outside in August has been charged with child abuse resulting in serious injury and cruelty to a child.

Shannon Michole Goldston, 23, is accused of leaving the baby outside the building at the Wilson Pines Apartments in the 2500 block of East Washington Street. She allegedly came back for the child around the same time police arrived.
