Charges knock off Hampton

Isle of Wight Academy hit a season-high 10 three-pointers as the Chargers knocked off Hampton Christian 69-45 on the road Monday night.
The two teams also combined for 19 three-pointers and took a total of 53 attempts.
Senior Nathan Sivertson had 14 points, and classmate Alex Fronfelter had 13, including three from beyond the arc, to pace the Chargers. Justice Fuller, Austin Rogers and Jonathan Lilley each had two three-pointers, and R.J. Wells had one.
Sivertson also grabbed 20 rebounds, and Casey Williams had 6 in a contest that saw the Chargers out-rebound Hampton 58-38.
Hampton Christian was led by Joey White’s 26 points. He was the only Warrior in double figures.
IWA ran its record to 14-4 and 5-3 in the Metro Athletic Conference.
