Wilbert Calvin Pendleton, 85, died Jan. 7, 2013, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was the son of late Lillian S. and Robert Pendleton.
Wilbert came to Suffolk after serving in the U.S. Army where he served during World War II and received the World War II Victory Medal and an Occupation Ribbon for Germany. Since serving in the U.S. Army, he has been a chicken and agriculture farmer in Suffolk.
He is survived by cousins and neighbors.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery by Pastor Ben M. Fulton. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
