Lack of offense dooms Warriors

Nansemond River could not recover from poor shooting against Mount Zion Christian Academy, dropping its second-round game 47-37 on Friday at the 11th annual Holiday in the Pines Tournament in Pinehurst, N.C.
The Warriors shot 36 percent from the field, going 15-of-42.
Senior forward Ed Drew still managed some decent numbers with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. Junior guard Khalil Carroll had 10 points and five assists.
Nansemond River (8-2, 6-1) next played in the third-place game on Saturday against Southern Lee High School, of Sanford, N.C.
