On Monday, Shotz Portrait Studio will celebrate one year since opening for business in the Harbour View Marketplace shopping center in North Suffolk.

The company is celebrating its anniversary with special offers for customers who purchase portrait packages Sept. 24-30.

Run by Terry Smith and her two sons, Shotz provides an alternative to the typical portrait experience offered by its competitors. The lobby has comfortable seating, a play area for small children and walls filled with the work they’ve done over the past year.

Sessions last up to an hour in a spacious studio with an array of props and backdrops. Photos are put up in a slideshow, followed by a side-by-side comparison, and staff members offer full-service retouching and enhancements. Shotz has a lab on-site, so portraits can be printed in a matter of minutes without an extra fee.

The company also welcomes pets and offers a variety of products and services, including passport photos, corporate headshots, customized photo cards for all occasions, photo restoration, enlargements, prints and photo merchandise. Framing will be offered soon.
