Mr. and Mrs. Curtis M. Holland of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Daedre Yolando Holland, to Jamie Rondell Dabney, son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Dabney of Mechanicsville.
 Holland is a graduate of Forest Glen High School in Suffolk and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Union University in Richmond. She is employed as an insurance market examiner for the State Corporation Commission in Richmond.
Dabney graduated from Atlee High School in Hanover County and from the Richmond Technical Center, where he received a certificate in electricity. He is a licensed Journeyman and Master Electrician. He is owner/operator of Jamie’s Electric.
The couple plans an October wedding in Suffolk.
