The Smithfield High School Beta Club recently won second place in a video competition showcasing a local service project for the National Beta Club.
The video featuring the club’s Windsor Castle Park clean-up project earned it a $750 prize.
“The Beta Club is extremely proud of our members who volunteer each month to clean up Windsor Castle Park,” SHS Beta Club Sponsor Julie Eng said.
The National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit educational youth organization in the area. The organization promotes leadership and community involvement through its motto: “Let Us Lead by Serving Others”.
The SHS Beta Club members set an example of leadership and character for their fellow peers through their various service activities throughout the school year.
