Player of the Week Nominations

Following are this week’s Player of the Week nominees:

 

  • Kaylor Nash, junior hitter for the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls volleyball team — She has been incredibly dominant, with 69 kills in four games this week to lead the undefeated Lady Saints (7-0).
  • Antonio Perry, junior linebacker for the Lakeland Cavaliers — He grabbed three interceptions against Hickory and took the last one 75 yards for a touchdown with less than a minute to play.
  • Zach Super, senior quarterback for the Lakeland Cavaliers — He turned in his second straight stellar passing game, this time with 18 completions on 21 attempts for 247 yards with no interceptions and a 44 yard touchdown pass.
  • Charles Clark, senior running back for the King’s Fork Bulldogs — Clark scored two 65-yard touchdowns against Indian River, one on a kickoff and the other on a punt.  He also contributed 72 yards rushing on six carries.
