Both lanes of Hosier Road are now reopened.
Suffolk police had closed the road because of a vehicle accident.
The accident occurred in the 2200 block. The single vehicle involved struck a utility pole, according to a press release from the city.
The road was shut down to allow Dominion Virginia Power to repair the pole. The city’s Public Works department assisted on the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to Sentara Obici Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
