CHESAPEAKE — Catherine Daughtrey Jones passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Suffolk, Va., and a retired teacher for Chesapeake Public Schools.

Catherine is survived by her son, St. Clair Jones; son, Sean Jones and his wife, Erica; son, Jesse Jones and his wife, Vernita; sister, Thomasine Baker and her husband, Isaac Baker; brother, Willie C. Daughtrey and his wife, Mary N. Daughtrey. She is also survived by four grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved her dearly.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty St., Chesapeake. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at noon at First Baptist Church, 112 Mahan St., Suffolk. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Road, Chesapeake.
