W.B. Moody Jr.

Beloved father and grandfather, W.B. “Bill” Moody Jr., 88, of Ormond Beach, passed away on May 25, 2012, at Florida Hospital Memorial, Daytona Beach, Fla.

He was born on March 8, 1924, in Suffolk, Va., to the late W.B. Moody Sr. and Virginia (Delk) Moody. He was married to Edith S. Sullivan in 1942, and they moved to Florida in 1950. In 1952, he established Moody’s Sheet Metal Works on Mason Avenue in Daytona Beach, Fla., where he served the community 60 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Daytona.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Edith S. Moody. He is survived by his brother, Jack Moody (Elizabeth); his sister, Betty Wilkins; his two daughters, Kay Moody and Penny Fraser; his grandchildren, Lynn Andersen (Jeff), Jay, Laurie and Ross Fraser; his great-grandchildren, Jennifer Barnes (Jake), Christopher and Rachael Andersen; and one great-great-grandchild, Shane Barnes.

A service will be held at Riverbend Community Church, Ormond Beach, Fla., at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Bill to Riverbend Community Church, 2080 West Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 or to Tomoka Christian Church, 1151 West Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
