Hugh Glen Almond

Hugh Glen Almond, of 2323 E. Washington St., Apt. 1305N, Suffolk, Va., went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2012. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Dennis and Lenora Almond. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Almond Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Karlus Robinson, of Suffolk; two sisters, LaVerne Doughty (Rodney) and Patricia Jordan, both of Suffolk; five brothers, Larry Almond (Betty), Norman Almond, Herman Almond, all of Suffolk, Marvin Almond, of Portsmouth, Herman P. Almond, of Bronx, N.Y.; four aunts, Beulahmae Dildy, Shirley Davis, Rosa Holland, Annie Almond; two uncles, William Holland and Harry Holland; one grandchild, Kalra Robinson; a special cousin, Corris Holland; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be Friday, May 25, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Greater First Baptist Church, Orlando. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
