A seventh-grader has been recommended for expulsion after school officials allegedly found marijuana in his locker, police and school officials said Friday.

The 12-year-old male student at King’s Fork Middle School will be charged with possession of marijuana, city spokeswoman Debbie George said. She said school administrators had been tipped off to the drugs by another student.

The student was recommended for expulsion, schools spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said.
