Earlene Browning Pulley

Earlene Browning Pulley, 75, of Suffolk, Va., passed away Jan. 25, 2012. She was born in San Diego, Calif., the daughter of the late Laura Lee Ornduff Browning and Leitha Earl Browning. She is the widow of Franklin Curtis Pulley Sr. She was a member of Somerton Friends Meeting House and enjoyed scrapbooking, crocheting, bowling, babysitting and cooking.

Earlene is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Frances P. and Burrell Holland, of Courtland, Carolyn “Marie” and Grover Johnson Jr., of Suffolk, Ella P. and Ronald Daughtrey, of Suffolk, and Becky P. and Eric Tansmore, of Hampton; son and daughter-in-law, Franklin Curtis Pulley Jr. and Joyce Pulley, of Suffolk; grandchildren, Dawn (Denny), B.J., G.J. (Kim), Joey (Katie), Kellie, Curt, Lynsey, Carson and Megan; great-grandchildren, Brittany, McKenna, Riley, Landen, Parker and Will; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn B. and Ralph Woodard, of Grandy, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Earl and Mary Ellen Browning, of Suffolk; several nieces and nephews; and faithful canine companion, Wendy.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Somerton Friends Meeting House Cemetery with Pastor Amanda Smith officiating. Friends may join the family at other times at the residence.
