Tysinger, Taylor to wed

Pamela Taylor and Gary Cotton, of Suffolk, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kandace B. Taylor, to Dennis E. Tysinger II. Dennis is the son of Dennis and Ruby Tysinger, of Portsmouth.
Kandace is the granddaughter of Roxanna B. Taylor and the late James M. Taylor and Gracie Cotton and the late Paul Cotton Sr., of Suffolk. Dennis is the grandson of the late Samuel and Ruby Ward, of Suffolk, and the late Willie James and Christine Tysinger, of Griffin, Ga.
Kandace is a graduate of Nansemond River High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology pre-medicine from Norfolk State University and a Master of Education in counseling from Cambridge College. She is currently an ID case manager for an agency in Suffolk.
Dennis is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems and decisions sciences from Virginia State University. Currently, he is a certified Internet Webmaster/Oracle Internet Academy instructor for the Pruden Center for Industry and Technology in Suffolk. Also, he is the assistant band director at Lakeland High School in Suffolk.
A private wedding ceremony will be held at the Historic Obici House in Suffolk on Saturday, May 26, 2012. There will be an invitation-only reception following the ceremony.
